PSR Tool in Windows 7
Many people are not aware about an amazing tool included in Windows 7.  The tool is called Problems Steps Recorder.  Before you start a flow, start the PSR and it will take screen shots every time the mouse clicks on the screen and will keep a log of what happened when the mouse button clicked.  After you are done running the flow, stop the PSR and save the file.  If you have a defect, you can send this to dev team and then they will not bug you to reproduce.  This will save precious time!!

Also this tool can give good solution for KT sessions, defects, user guides or any other area that requires step by step description and screenshots (and you don’t need to do anything, just to run the flow or perform the activity)

1.       In Windows 7, click start menu and type “psr”


2.       When psr.exe shown up on menu, click on it to open

3.       This will open:


4.       Click on the arrow at the very right side and click settings.

5.       Set the screen capture to 100 (max) and press OK button:


6.       Press Start Record button and start your flow

7.       At the end of flow, or if there is a defect, press Stop Record button.  A save window will open.

8.       Attach the file that was created to your defect.

9.       This file has screenshot with labels of each and every activity that was done.

Steps to Analyze AWR Report in Oracle AWR -   Automatic   workload repository is a collection of persistent   system performance   statistics   owned by SYS. It resides in SYSAUX   tablespace . By default snapshot are generated once every 60 min and maintained for 7 days . Each snapshot has a unique ID know as "snap_id". Snapshot detail can be found in " dba_hist_snapshot " view.   If we have Database performance issue and not the Database machine, then AWR Report is the place to look at. AWR is not used for real-time performance monitoring like the v$ tables. It is used for historical analysis of performance. AWR complements, but doesnot replace real-time monitoring. Once AWR Report is generated in Oracle, the next task is to analyze it. Each Depart and arrive have a outboundFlight and returnFlight field, which changes according to the selected values.
